Launch of new eLearning and online resources to support Level 3 Certificate in Exercise Referral (QCF)
Active IQ Academy has announced the launch of a range of new eLearning and online resources to support Exercise Referral students.
The Level 3 qualification is
aimed at fitness instructors and personal trainers who wish to work
with a range of special populations, including those with
cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, musculoskeletal and mental
health disorders.
The new resources will give learners further scope to build on
existing Level 2 and Level 3 skills, such as instructing and
coaching, helping to provide both an understanding of the causes of
a variety of medical conditions and their impact on preventative
and rehabilitative exercise programming.

the first time that eLearning and online resources have been
readily available for this qualification and it marks an exciting
opportunity for learners to supplement their formal classroom
delivery and self-study. The online resources not only focus on key
areas of the text, but also to allow learners to study at a pace

technical and factual learning, and allowing learners to absorb

extra help with. The inclusion of audio, interactive content and
quizzes not only consolidates learning and application, but also

With exercise referral schemes becoming commonplace across the UK
and a number of new national guidelines currently in development,
the importance of understanding the exercise referral process
within the scope of professional practice is a key area of study
for exercise professionals.
