Ordering eLearning, Manuals and Lecture Packs
Is VAT added to the costs?
VAT is added to the prices listed on the fees list (Manuals are zero rated for VAT; lecture packs and eLearning are standard rated).
How do I order the resources?
To order please complete the order form found on the website, and email to orders@activeiqacademy.com. Please ensure that you work out the total value of your items and complete the sub total box.
Do I need to pay for postage?
Postage is at a fixed price. After completing your order for you can select the appropriate band based on the total cost of the order.
Registration of Learners
How do I register my learners?
Please contact us for details on how to register learners; enrolment on courses can only be done by the training provider not the student. Once the learners are registered we can allocate their learning.
eLearning Study Process
How do my learners access the eLearning?
- After the learner has been registered they will receive login details for the eLearning platform.
- To access the course the learners will need to login to the academy at www.activeiqacademy.com and go to My Dashboard > then My Courses. Once here they will see a list of courses they are currently enrolled on. They then need to click the appropriate link to be taken into the eLearning.
- Here they will see the course broken down into sections – each slide in the section must be viewed to be marked as ‘completed’. There is also a user guide under the help section so please refer to this for a full explanation.
How do I review my learner’s progress?
- As course tutor you will be provided with ‘manager’ login details, this allows you to check your learner’s progress at any time. Login at www.activeiqacademy.com.
- You can click the tutor progress button to get an overall view of your students’ progress, and then click on the hyperlinks to drill down into more detail. If you want to see how much time individual students are spending on sections you can use the more powerful report manager.
How long does it take for the learners to complete their learning?
The length of the course varies for each individual, as well as the course unit being studied. The eLearning is live for 1 year before the account lapses.
How can I ensure all of the learning outcomes are covered?
All of the learning outcomes in the qualification guidance are covered in the eLearning. All eLearning products, manuals, and, lecture packs are mapped to QCF qualifications.
eLearning System Requirements
Are there any specific system requirements I should know about?
You will need Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe website. You will also need to ensure your computer is able to play sound as some of the videos include audio.
Trouble Shooting
I am having trouble accessing the learning. What should I do?
- You may need to change your Internet security settings to make the Active IQ Academy website a “trusted site”. Depending on the web browser you are using this can be found under Tools > Internet Options >Security > Trusted Sites. If you still have problems accessing our eLearning please let us know.
- To report any technical problems there is a link at the bottom of every page on the eLearning platform called 'Report a Bug'. This will allow you to report any problems you are having.
Can I purchase the content to use on my own eLearning platform?
We can supply you with content only, if you already have an online learning platform to support it, please contact us for more information.
Can I add my own content for the platform?
You can add your own content to the eLearning platform although this is dependant on compatibility and the format/size of your content. There is also a hosting fee applicable to this, contact us for more information.
