How Our eLearning Works
Our eLearning platform provides a resource for you to offer
media-rich, interactive courses to your learners.
As a college or training provider you will undoubtedly want to
be able to view your learners' online progress to make sure they
are learning. This function is available within our platform and
includes the time spent on each section by the learner and their
performance in formative assessments.
Learners will be able to access eLearning and online resources
with a personal username and password which is sent to them via
email. There are self assessments throughout each unit so learners
can assess their growing knowledge and confirm that information is
being learned and retained.
As you will see in the demo account, the following
terminology is used across the platform:
- Dashboard: The central area of the screen seen
after the learner logs in, where common features and functions are
located.
- My Courses: Each course is compiled in the My
Courses area, consisting of relevant materials and sections. This
identifies the order in which each section should be taken. A chart
displays the progress learners have made through each of these
items.
- Training Material: Refers to expanded online
resources that may have been added to supplement the
eLearning.
- eLearning: Interactive course content. This
content, once clicked on the dashboard, always loads separately in
a new window on your learners' computer. A course will mainly
consist of eLearning content but can also include files found via
the attachment button. These documents may aid learning and / or be
used for reference and printouts.
- Knowledge checks: Formative assessments or
quizzes within the course, designed to review learners' knowledge
at certain points and make the learning experience as engaging as
possible.
- Units and Chapters: Each qualifcation is made
up of units and each unit is made up of chapters; a chapter is one
piece of eLearning.
